So there was another race again last weekend. New place, the Downs in Santa Fe. The course was (at the beginning of the day) very dirty with grass growing up through it. As the races went on we broke it in...or just plane broke it I guess. They had to alter the course twice-once in the middle of the morning session and once in the middle of the afternoon session due to the asphalt lifting.

I think both the photos give a good idea of the surface-it was old and falling apart, but still a blast to race on.

Numbers for the day:
Drivers:59 Runs:353 Average Lap: 50.558 Cones:93 DNFs:10
FTD: SS 37 Rick Hinckley 04 Corvette Z06, Black 42.725 Run 4

I really don't think I hit a cone on that last run. I was never very close to any, and Angela was watching and never saw any. I did see a worker picking one up from the previous car while I was running so maybe I got that one counted against me...oh well.
